告別式
The Funeral Service

Tone I
生命中哪一次的愉悅不是混雜著哀愁？世上的功名利祿怎可能穩固不變？
世間的一切，比影子還要脆弱，比夢境還要虛幻；就在那些空洞的事物中，意外的打擊和死亡接連來到。
喔！基督，請用祢光明的面容，還有祢甜美的馨香，應允他並賜給他安息，因為祢是人類的摯友。

Tone 2
就像一朵花，盛開了而又凋零，又像一個夢，存在過卻又消失，死亡的人最終也歸於塵土，
然而，當號角聲再次響起，撼動整個大地的時候，所有的亡者又會復活，他們會去到祢面前，與祢相見，
喔！基督，我們的上帝：你已從眾人中將他（她）選出，
喔！上主，直到那一天，你將為祢的僕人在聖徒中找到一個安身之處，
喔！ 基督，你將使他（她）的靈魂安息。

嗚呼哀哉！靈魂離開肉體的時候是忍著多麼大的苦楚！
他究竟流下了多少眼淚？
然而，卻沒有人流露出憐憫的關懷：他將無精打采的目光投向天使，向他們哀求，他用力將手伸向人們，卻得不到救援。
因此，我親愛的兄弟姊妹們，讓我們一起仔細思索，人的生命是多麼微不足道，
也讓我們一起祈求基督，請祂賜予離世的他平安，也用豐沛的仁慈守護我們的靈魂。

Tone 3
人類的一切追尋與辛勞是如此空虛，一旦死亡的時刻到來，一切又歸於零，就算家財萬貫也帶不走。
我們要如何帶走一切榮華？
因為當死亡來臨的時候，一切事物都將消逝不見。
為何永恆之王，基督，要讓我們悲傷哭泣？
喔！基督，我知道你已經用喜悅填滿他們的心，也為他們準備了新的家園，請賜給離世的他平安！

Tone 4
現在，有一股難以抗拒的力量，使靈魂和肉體分離，破壞了兩者融洽的結合。
它們曾在自然的凝聚力下成為一體，獲得生命，現在，遵照上帝的法令，又分開成為兩個安息的個體。
因此，我們懇求祢，生命的給予者，人類的摯友，請讓祢的僕人進入安寧之中，那是祢的正直的僕人們的安身之地。

我們對世間萬物的愛戀現在到哪裡去了？
那迷人的瞬息萬變的事物，現在又到哪裡去了？
我們的金銀財寶現在到哪裡去了？
眾多的僕人和他們的聲聲牢騷現在到哪裡去了？
全都化作塵土與灰燼，全都只是幻影。
因此，讓我們聚在一起向我們永恆的國王大聲哀求：
「上主，祢允諾他的永恆祝福，現在已經不復存在。請讓他在祢的福祐中安息，使他永遠不再變老。」

Tone 5
我憶起曾經有一位先知高聲叫喊：「我不就是塵土和灰燼嗎！」
我再一次注視著那些墳墓，我看見那些骨頭不再有皮肉包覆，它們赤裸裸的，
我想著：「墳墓中的他們，哪一位是國王？哪一位士兵？哪一位是富翁？哪一位是貧民？
哪一位是正直的人？哪一位是罪人？」
喔！上主，如果祢的僕人為人正直，就請祢賜給他平安。

Tone 6
祢的誡命是祢給世界的恩賜，也是生命的開端與根基。
祢用肉眼可見的和不可見的各種自然元素，調配出活生生的受造物，創造了我的生命，我的肉體並非在俗世間生成。
祢吹了一口氣，以神性創造了我的生命，賜給我靈魂。
喔！基督，求祢在正義的法庭上，賜給祢在世間土地上的僕人安息。

Tone 7
請賜給他安息，喔！我們的救主，祢是生命的給予者，你將我們的兄弟（姊妹）從這個瞬息萬變的世界裡救出，
喔！他要高聲讚頌：「願光榮歸於祢！」

祢在最初的時候，就依據祢的肖像創造了人類。
祢給予他一個天國裡的家，使他成為一切受造物的主宰。
然而，惡魔的嫉妒誘使人類吃了禁果，成為不守誡命的冒犯者，再一次墮入塵世，請祢赦免他，使他重返天上的國度，
喔！上主，我們祈求你賜給他平安。

Tone 8
當我明瞭了心中對死亡的想法，我流著淚哭泣嘆息。
我看見墳墓裡安眠的美麗軀體，他曾是依上帝的肖像而造，然而，現在已經走了樣，失去了一切的恩典與光輝，
原來，人是如此的微不足道。
喔！這是多麼怪異的結果，這到底是怎樣的奧秘？為何總有一天我們都要腐爛消失？為何死後兩人還能在婚姻中結合？
的確，這些都是在上帝的祝福下進行的，祂也賜予離世的他安息。
願光榮歸於父及子及聖靈。
喔！上主，你所承受的死亡之苦，變成了永生的預兆。
如果祢也是先走入墓地，才走入天堂之門，那麼，也請祢賜給他安息，因為祢是人類的摯友。
從今以後，直到世世代代。阿門。
聖潔的童貞女，通往聖言之路，上帝的母親，請為他祈求，使他的靈魂得到憐憫。

Prokeimenon, Tone 3
今天你所走過的道路是有福的，因為這是一條通往平安與安息的道路。（3）喔！上主，我要對祢高聲祈求。

The reading from the First Epistle of the Holy Apostle Paul to the Thessalonians. ( I Thess. 4:13-18)

Wisdom. Let us attend.
Reader:
Brethren, we would not have you ignorant concerning those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. For this we declare to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, shall not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command with the archangel's call, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first; then we who are alive, who are left, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.

Wisdom! Attend! Let us hear the Holy Gospel. Peace be to all.

Glory to You, O Lord, glory to You.
Priest:
The Lord said to those Jews which had come to him: Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears my word and believes him who sent me, has eternal life; he does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life. Truly, truly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live. For as the Father has life 'in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself, and has given him the authority to execute judgment, because he is the Son of man. Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice and come forth, those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of judgment. I can do nothing on my own authority; as I hear, I judge; and my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will but the will of him who sent me.

讓我們再一次祈求，上主，求祢將平安賜給祢已經離開世間的僕人 (姓名) ，
請寬恕他一切的冒犯與罪過，無論是有意或無意的。
（上主，求你垂憐）
上主，求祢重建他的靈魂，使他的安息之處充滿正義的氣息和上帝的恩典。
求祢在天國裡寬恕他的罪過：讓我們祈求基督，我們永恆的王，還有我們的上帝（上主，求你垂憐）。
讓我們同聲祈禱。
